All changes, even the most longed for, have their
melancholy, for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to
one life before we can enter into another. – Anatole France
Life has 4 stages: a
baby, a child, a teenage, and an adult stage.
The type of activities done as an adult are not the same as when you are
a baby, except for the nights when you are so tired and sleep like a baby. Some adults never grow out of the child stage,
that is figuratively speaking. When you
are a child you might long to be a teenager or an adult and as a teenager or an
adult you might long to be a child again, but that stage has died. The baby, child, teenage, and adult stages
are a way of leaving a part of ourselves behind.
